Gathered Within: Ezekiel 11:17-18
Ezekiel 11:17-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ezekiel 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage says God will gather the scattered people, return them to the land, and cleanse it by removing abominations.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that the God of Ezekiel speaks not to a geographically distant event, but to a turning of your own consciousness. The gathering is the gathering of the scattered states of mind—fear, doubt, memory clinging to old forms—into one clear, awake I AM. The land of Israel becomes your inner land, the elevated state where purity, purpose, and devotion reside. When you hear that detestable things and abominations shall be removed, understand that these are inner habits, judgments, and pictures you have allowed to govern your imagination. You are invited to cleanse the mind by refusing to dwell in hostile or reactionary images, and to replace them with a steadfast recognition: I am that Land, I am the Presence that returns: the return is not to a place but to a new mode of awareness. As you conceive this unity, the dispersed parts of you are drawn together, and the promise of home manifests as certainty, wholeness, and sustained peace.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume you are already gathered in the inner land; revise any sense of separation. Feel the return as a living certainty, and let the detestable thoughts dissolve in the warmth of I AM.
