Biblical Context
God tells Moses to demand Pharaoh release the Israelites so they may serve Him. If Pharaoh resists, a grievous plague falls on Egypt’s cattle while Israel’s cattle remain untouched, and Pharaoh’s heart remains hard.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the scene is a law of consciousness. The LORD speaks as the I AM, commanding that your inner people—your faithful states—be allowed to serve the one life. If you refuse to release them, the hand of the LORD moves upon the cattle in your field—the horses, the asses, the camels, the oxen, the sheep—your faculties in action. A grievous murrain sweeps through the unrenewed mind, and a separation occurs: the cattle of Israel versus the cattle of Egypt. The set time is fixed: tomorrow the Lord will do this thing in the land. And it comes to pass: the Egypt-state faculties perish, yet the Israel-state remains untouched. Pharaoh’s heart hardens, and the old resistance persists. This drama mirrors your inner life: the plague is the death of faculties not governed by the I AM, the separation is the moment your true self—your inner Israel—takes sovereignty, and the deliverance comes as you acknowledge the I AM’s rule over every aspect of your life.
Practice This Now
Assume now that your inner Israel is already delivered and protected by the I AM. Revise the belief that Egypt’s cattle control you, and feel the sovereignty of the higher state reigning in this moment.
