Biblical Context
Exodus 36:31-32 tells of five bars for each side of the tabernacle's boards, forming a three-sided frame for the sacred tent.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the myth of the tabernacle, the bars are not hardware but the invisible support of a living faith. The three sides of boards symbolize the three aspects of your awareness that must be held together by a single governing idea—the I AM. The five bars for each side are the five points of attention you commit to in order to keep the shape intact: desire, imagination, faith, decision, and persistence. When you live consciously, these bars hold fast, binding your outer circumstances to your inner covenant. God dwelling in your innermost temple is not a distant event but the recognition that you are already the place where the divine presence abides. By imagining five steadfast supports on each side, you are not building a temple in time but strengthening your state of consciousness in the present. The act of placing the bars is an act of obedience to the inner law: honor the structure, dwell in the feeling of the wish fulfilled, and allow the grace of covenant loyalty to keep your frame intact.
Practice This Now
Assume the I AM as the center of your tabernacle. Visualize five bars for the one side, five for the opposite side, and five for the westward side, placing them firmly. Then feel the completed frame and dwell in the sense that the temple is already within you.
