Biblical Context
Exodus 34:1-4 records God commanding Moses to hew two new stones and ascend Sinai to receive the words again, while separation from the people marks sacred preparation and covenant renewal.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this moment the mind is Sinai and the two tables are two fixed states of consciousness you must hold as you stand in the dawning of a new day. The words on the first tables were broken by fear; God promises to write them anew on these fresh tablets through your I AM. The ascent to the mount is a turn of attention, a deliberate turning toward the top of your awareness where no distraction may enter. The command to present yourself alone signifies that the changing of your life must be an internal act of self-ownership, not a spectacle. The divine words become your living law when you revise, assume, and feel them real until they reside in you as certainty. This is not a historical event but a victory of imagination: you speak the truth into being by aligning with the presence of I AM and letting the inner covenant govern your days.
Practice This Now
Morning or quiet moment: imagine ascending to the mount in your mind and writing on two shining tablets the one law you will live by today; then, feel it real as though it already is true.
