Biblical Context
Exodus 31:2-6 shows God naming Bezaleel and Aholiab and filling them with His Spirit. Their skill is a divine empowerment for a sacred task.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the text is not about ancient carpenters but about a law of consciousness. Bezaleel represents a state of awakened awareness within you, named by the I AM that you are. When God says, I have filled him with the spirit of God, He is saying: your mind can be inhabited by wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and craft when you assume the honor of your true name as creator. The “cunning works” are the living forms your life takes when your inner intelligence is invited to design; gold, silver, and brass are symbols of the energies you transform through inspired action. And with Aholiab and the “wise hearted”, the verse teaches that wisdom is not scarce but distributed to all who consent to the inner instruction. The declaration that they may make all that I have commanded thee becomes a discipline of obedience to inner guidance. The presence of God is not a distance but a close, eternal I AM in you, guiding your hands to fashion your life exactly as your deepest vision dictates.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume you are Bezaleel, filled with the Spirit. Revise your current project in light of inner wisdom, and feel the finished work as real in your hands.
