Biblical Context
Exodus 29:31-46 describes consecrating Aaron and his sons, the offerings that sanctify them and the altar, and God’s pledge to dwell among Israel. The ritual marks holiness and a visible meeting with God at the tabernacle.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner tabernacle is also consecrated through steady acts of attention and belief. The ram and the bread are not creatures of literal flesh or loaves, but symbols of the thoughts and feelings you gather and set at the door of your awareness. When you imagine these offerings, you are choosing a state of consciousness that becomes holy, a space where no stray fear or doubt may enter. As described, the altar is cleansed and sanctified by the very movements of atonement you accept within you; this is your discipline of attention. The two daily lambs become the reliable rhythms of your life: morning and evening revise, refresh, and feed your I AM with faith and clear intention. Persist in this, and the tabernacle is sanctified by your glory, your inner divine presence. Aaron and his sons symbolize your higher states of consciousness serving the One Life. And then, in feeling or memory, you know that the LORD is your God, dwelling within you, guiding you home to the truth that you are, right now, the I AM.
Practice This Now
Close the eyes and assume, I am dwelling in the Tabernacle of my being. Feel the altar within, sanctified by belief, and sense the divine meeting at the door of my awareness.
