Exodus 24:17

Biblical Context

Exodus 24:17 describes the sight of the LORD's glory as a devouring fire atop the mountain seen by Israel.

Neville's Inner Vision

I tell you, the sight of the LORD's glory as devouring fire is not a distant happening but a state of consciousness awakening now. The 'glory' of the LORD is the I AM awareness that lights the top of your inner mountain. Fire here is not external heat but the energy of imagination waking you to who you really are. The mount is your highest state of attention—where fear, lack, and time melt before the Presence that consumes them. When you think this fire is far away, you scatter your gaze; when you accept that this fire is within your own consciousness, you align with the divine Presence and worship truly, not in outward rites but in inward acknowledgment. 'In the eyes of the children of Israel' becomes your recognition that you, too, perceive through your present state; by revising that state, you invite a new appearance of reality. Practically, you awaken to be the observer and the flame that consumes old images, discovering that the glory you seek is the glory you already are.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume you are the glory you seek. See a devouring fire atop your inner mountain and feel it as your own awareness; affirm 'I AM' here and now.
