Exodus 15:13-18 - Inheritance of Presence

Exodus 15:13-18 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Exodus 15 in context

Scripture Focus

13Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.
14The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.
15Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.
16Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.
17Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O LORD, which thy hands have established.
18The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.
Exodus 15:13-18

Biblical Context

God leads the redeemed by mercy and strength to a holy dwelling. The surrounding fear dissolves as the believer steps into the inheritance prepared for them.

Neville's Inner Vision

Exodus 15:13-18 is not a history lesson but a map of your inner life. The redeemed people are your awakened self; mercy guides you, strength steadies you, and a holy habitation appears as a lasting sense of presence. The fearsome foes—Palestina, Edom, Moab, Canaan—are inner states of doubt, resistance, and finally reverent settling. When you feel the arm of God as mighty, you remain as still as a stone; you cross the imagined sea from bondage to inheritance by choosing the assumption that you are already there. Plant this certainty in the 'mountain of thine inheritance'—your present consciousness where the I AM dwells. The Lord shall reign forever in this inner kingdom, and your outer life will follow the peace of that reign. The verses invite you to realize that God’s dwelling is not elsewhere but within your own awareness, and by dwelling there you purchase and establish the sanctuary that cannot be moved by circumstance.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume the feeling 'I am led by divine mercy to my sanctuary,' and feel it real. Then visualize stepping into the inner dwelling where the I AM reigns.
