Ephesians 1:15-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ephesians 1 in context

Scripture Focus

15Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians 1:15-23

Biblical Context

Paul thanks them for their faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all the saints, and prays that God would grant them wisdom, revelation, and enlightened understanding. He speaks of the risen Christ, the exalted position of the church, and the expansive power available to believers.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this blessing you are invited to enter the inner state rather than chase outward proofs. The 'God of our Lord Jesus Christ' is the I AM within you—the life that calls itself I. When you hear of faith, imagine your own mind embracing the truth that you already reside in a realm where wisdom and revelation arise freely. The 'eyes of your understanding being enlightened' becomes a deliberate act of attention—assume the I AM as your source of knowledge, and behold the 'hope of his calling' and the riches set within your being. The 'exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe' is the momentum of belief you can awaken as inner energy, the power that raised Christ and seats you in heavenly places in consciousness. Everything external—principality, power, future names—are under your feet when you acknowledge your kingly self. The church, your body, is the fullness of him who fills all in all, present as your inner life.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe softly, and assume, I AM that I AM, enlightened now. See yourself seated in heavenly places in consciousness, and feel the power that raised Christ circulating through every act of your day.
