Biblical Context
Ecclesiastes 3:5 speaks of seasons for different acts—casting away and gathering, embracing and refraining.
Neville's Inner Vision
I am the I AM that awakens within you; Ecclesiastes 3:5 does not speak of outward events alone but of the moods you entertain in consciousness. Casting away stones is the act of discarding beliefs, resentments, and old limitations that no longer serve your life. Gathering stones is the building of new experiences, compatible with your desire, laid as a quiet set of foundations in your inner landscape. A time to embrace is a season of intimate unity with others or with your own renewed self; a time to refrain from embracing is the disciplined restraint that prevents premature closeness or attachment that would disrupt your intention. The law is not external but inward: the season you perceive in your mind will set the events you meet. Therefore I invite you to observe your inner weather, choose the movement that corresponds to your desired shift, and rest in the conviction that your "season" is a state of consciousness you can sustain until it matures.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are standing before a path of stones: say 'I cast away old stones now' and feel the release; then picture gathering stones to form a circle around a seed of intention; finally, feel yourself embracing a neighbor or your renewed self, in the safety of the circle.
