Ecclesiastes 3:3

Biblical Context

The verse marks a rhythm of endings and beginnings: a season to kill and to heal, to break down and to build up.

Neville's Inner Vision

Observe that the verse points to the inner weather of consciousness, not mere calendar dates. A time to kill is the release of the old self-images that no longer serve you; a time to heal is the quickening of awareness that loves and renews. A time to break down is the collapse of cramped beliefs; a time to build up is the deliberate erection of a new form of life, existing now in I AM. You are not moved by outward changes; you are moved by the state you accept as true. When you concede to death of the old you and welcome its successor, you are setting the inner machinery to work. The killing and building are two poles of the same action: the mind clearing space for a higher version of itself, guided by the I AM that you are. The healing occurs as you consent to the new image with feeling as if it already is. Imagination creates Reality: revise the inner scene, feel it real, and the outer scene follows.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, state 'I AM' the healer and builder of my life, and feel the new state as already true. Let the old self die in imagination and the new self rise, then notice one small outer change aligning.
