Seeds of the Morning Spirit

Ecclesiastes 11:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Ecclesiastes 11 in context

Scripture Focus

5As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.
6In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
Ecclesiastes 11:5-6

Biblical Context

The passage says you cannot know the Spirit's path or the works of God, and that you should sow in the morning and in the evening, for you do not know which effort will prosper.

Neville's Inner Vision

These lines reveal a practical spirituality: the unknown path of Spirit is known to consciousness that assumes. The 'way of the spirit' is the rhythm of your inner state; the bones growing in the womb symbolize the unseen faculties forming your life by your inner vision. God who maketh all is your I AM—the reality that never changes. The morning sowing and the evening withholding of the hand are two nudges of the same law: you repeat the assumption until it stands as felt fact. Do not chase external causes or weigh possible outcomes; instead, dwell in the state that your desire is already true. You cannot know the exact mechanism, but you can know your inner posture. When you awaken, plant the seed with the feeling of its completion, and at dusk revisit it with gratitude as though it is done. Prosperity, for you, is the harmonized weather of your inner state, not the particular event. Your task is to dwell in the end and allow the world to reflect your inner assumption.

Practice This Now

Choose one desire and assume it is already real. Twice daily, feel the fulfilled state as fact and let the seed of it be planted in your imagination as reality.
