Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
There is an evil seen under the sun that arises as an error from the ruler; it signals an inner misrule shaping outer life.
Neville's Inner Vision
There exists a unity within you between ruler, reality, and the events you experience. Ecclesiastes 10:5 speaks of an 'evil' not as a distant fate but as the product of the ruler—your governing state of consciousness. The ruler is the inner assumption by which you organize thoughts, feelings, and decisions. When this inner governor errs—driven by fear, lack, or limitation—the outer scene reflects that misrule as trouble or misfortune. The remedy is not to battle the outward conditions but to revise the ruler itself. Return to the I AM that you are and assume a state of sovereign authority over your inner kingdom: a ruler anchored in love, wisdom, and abundance. As you persist in this higher state, your thoughts soften, your feelings align, and perceptions shift; the external world rearranges itself to harmonize with the new inner decree. The 'evil' thus dissolves as your inner ruler becomes true to its divine nature and the kingdom of God is reestablished within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, declare, 'I am the ruler of my inner life; I govern it with love and wisdom.' Then feel that ruling state as real now and notice your day reflecting this inner decree.
