The I Am Among You

Deuteronomy 7:21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 7 in context

Scripture Focus

21Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible.
Deuteronomy 7:21

Biblical Context

Fear dissolves when you remember the LORD is among you, a mighty and awe-filled presence. This is a call to rest in the I AM rather than strive against appearances.

Neville's Inner Vision

To those who hear this as a command to tremble, know that the LORD thy God is not a distant judge but the I AM within you—your awareness that never leaves you. The presence among you is the inner realization that you are not separate from power but surrounded by it. When you are tempted by fear of outer forces, see that the Mighty One dwells inside, and let fear fall away. In this light, you are not asked to battle; you are asked to awaken to what you already are. The sense of separation dissolves as you claim the state you desire through imagination and feel the truth of this presence. Repeat inwardly: I AM among me; I AM mighty; I AM a terror to fear. As you dwell in that awareness, the 'enemy' becomes a mere scene in consciousness, and your circumstances rearrange to reflect your new inner state. This is not adding to Scripture, but recognizing it as your own I AM becoming visible.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and silently declare, 'The I AM is among me; I feel its mighty presence now,' then vividly imagine the presence supporting you as you move through a challenge.
