Remembering the Inner Covenant
Deuteronomy 32:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 32 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
These verses rebuke a people for forgetting and urge them to remember the days of old, recognizing God as their Father who bought, made, and established them. They point to seeking guidance from fathers and elders as the source of wisdom.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember that the Lord your God is not a distant historian but the I AM within you. When the text asks, 'Do ye thus requite the LORD?' it reveals a state of consciousness that has forgotten its own origin in the Father. The bought, the made, the established, are your inner constants—the unshakeable you who already possesses all that you seek. The 'days of old' are not memories of the outer world but recollections of prior states of awareness, later revised into the present. To obey is to align your present feeling with the certainty of that inner covenant. The elders are your inner authorities—the quiet voice that tells you, 'You are loved, you are established, you are held by the I AM.' When you turn within and ask, you receive instruction, not from outside, but from your own awakened consciousness. The moment you refuse to be ruled by lack and remember this truth, the whole outer world rearranges to reflect your inner decision.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit in quiet and revise your state to 'I am the Father within; I was bought, I was made, I am established.' Then feel the truth as a lived conviction and listen for the inner elder's guidance.
