Deuteronomy 32:50 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 32 in context

Scripture Focus

50And die in the mount whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
Deuteronomy 32:50

Biblical Context

Moses is told to die on the ascent and be gathered with his people, signaling a transition into a deeper divine presence and community.

Neville's Inner Vision

Imagine the mount as a state of consciousness you ascend to in awareness. Die here means surrendering the old self-concept that maps the world by separation. As you ascend, you let go of anxious striving and consent to the I AM’s presence within. 'Be gathered unto thy people' becomes the inner gathering of your true faculties—faith, hope, love, unity—welcoming you back into the company of your divine kindred, the inner chorus you join when the vision is fulfilled. The parallel with Aaron and Hor shows that each old state fulfills its part and yields to a broader life. This is resurrection in consciousness: a turning from lack to wholeness, from fear to fellowship with God. Practice this now by assuming you have died to the old self on the mount and that you are gathered with your inner assembly; feel the certainty that you are home in God.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already gathered with your inner people on the Mount of Awareness; feel the I AM’s presence and affirm, 'I have died to the old self and now live in God.'
