Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Moses tells Israel to fix their hearts on the words of the law, observe them, and teach them to future generations. He declares these words are not vain, but their life, and they will prolong their days in the land they cross into.
Neville's Inner Vision
Take Moses’ charge as a directive to your inner man: the entire song is a statement of your I AM, the enduring oath you renew within. When you set your heart to these words, you are not bargaining with an external code; you are aligning your inner states with the living law of consciousness. The 'not a vain thing' clause means the words you repeat in imagination are not empty; they are your life-source. By dwelling in the feeling of the truth that this inner law sustains you, you prolong not a geographic days, but the quality and duration of your inner days—the steadfastness of your land-state as you cross Jordan within. Observe means to revise any thought contrary to this inner command; to tell yourself, 'I have already observed and I am now living as that word.' Pass the awareness to your children—i.e., to your future self—by daily repetition, until the words become second nature. The 'song' is an inner cadence that harmonizes your desires with your being. I AM presence is your dwelling place; imagination creates the outer as you hold the inner.
Practice This Now
Assume the state of the living Word now: I am the living Word. Set your heart on these inner words and feel them real for a minute, then carry that steady feeling into your daily life.
