Deuteronomy 26:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Deuteronomy 26 in context

Scripture Focus

19And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.
Deuteronomy 26:19

Biblical Context

The verse promises an inner elevation: God will raise you high above all nations in praise, name, and honor, so you may be a holy people unto the LORD.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this line, the elevation is not a political rank but a state of consciousness. God is the I AM within you, and being made high above in praise, name, and honor is the inner recognition of your true worth. The outer nations symbolize the myriad thoughts and fears you have believed about yourself; to be exalted above them is to embody the awareness that you are already seen by God as holy. When you dwell in the feeling of being the Lord’s treasured possession—conscious of your innocence, integrity, and praise—it reverberates into your daily experience as reverence, respect from others, and a sense of purpose. The promise is fulfilled as you revise your sense of self from lack to abundance, from separation to union, by returning again and again to the I AM and declaring, in effect, 'I am exalted now.'

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of being exalted—already praised, named, and honored by the I AM. In a quiet moment, declare, 'I am the holy people unto the LORD, I am exalted above all' and let the image of you on a high place in praise fill your awareness.
