Inner Alignment in Deuteronomy
Deuteronomy 18:9-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 18 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage commands you not to imitate the practices of other nations and not to practice divination or witchcraft. It declares that such things are an abomination and that you should be perfect with the Lord.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed through Neville's lens, the land you enter is your present consciousness and the 'abominations' are inner habits of fear and craving. Divination, observers of times, enchantment, and necromancy are not distant rites to fear; they are images of needing signs, control, and memory. When you claim the I AM as your reality, you align with the inner Lord and become perfect with the LORD in your inner life. The prohibition is a reminder to stop seeking outside proofs and to trust the I AM within as the sole source of guidance. To practice, assume the feeling that you are already guided by this inner presence, revise any moment that seeks omens, and dwell in the sense of wholeness. As you persist in that end state, the sense of separation dissolves and your outer experience follows from your inner consistency. You do not abandon life; you restore it to one unified awareness, the I AM.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the I AM is guiding you now; revise the urge for signs, and feel the present awareness as your only reality.
