Inner Covenant Blessing Practice
Deuteronomy 11:26-30 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Deuteronomy 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The text presents a clear choice: blessing for obedience to the Lord's commandments, and a curse for turning away. It ties the outcome to inner alignment with the covenant as they enter the land.
Neville's Inner Vision
Blessing and curse are not distant verdicts; they are the two currents of your own consciousness. The 'I' that speaks is the I AM; the land you possess is your state of being. When you align with the Lord's commandments—the inner laws you have inwardly accepted—you rise to Gerizim, the place of blessing, where your thoughts, feelings, and actions harmonize with fullness and sufficiency. When you entertain neglect of those inner laws, you descend to Ebal, a place where fear, lack, and self-condemnation appear as reality. The Jordan crossing is your decision to enter the land of experience by holding your vision intact; you do not pass through an external gate, but by maintaining a continuous sense of being already governed by the inner covenant. The commandments are the steady, faithful attention to your I AM, not a list of external rules. Your present moment mood and belief determine whether blessing or curse seems to manifest in the next moment. Remember: imagination creates reality; the outer landscape is simply the projection of inner alignment.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: close your eyes and assume the feeling of already possessing the land, resting in the I AM as your guide. Hold that sense until it feels natural, then drop back into daily life with that blessing already alive in you.
