Awakening at the End of Indignation
Daniel 8:18-19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 8 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Daniel is described as being in a deep sleep, then a divine touch sets him upright, with a promise to reveal what will occur at the end of indignation at the appointed time.
Neville's Inner Vision
Daniel’s scene is the psyche at rest, a dream-state opened by a touch of the I AM that lifts you to full awareness. The 'last end of the indignation' is not a distant event but the end of inner turmoil within your own consciousness, revealed when you stand in the state that already knows the outcome. In Neville's practice, the room, the sleep, and the appointed hour symbolize inner dispositions: the messenger is your imagination, the living act by which you are spoken to by your higher self. When you become upright, you are confirming that the end is not coming but arrived in imagination. The time appointed is your present moment of assuming the feeling of the completed state, the conviction that you possess the knowledge the end implies. Your waking is the return of the I AM to your attention, interpreting life as inner movements toward a harmonious outcome. By this revision, you allow the vision to precede the event, and the event then aligns with your inner decree.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and imagine the I AM touching you and setting you upright. Then feel the end of inner conflict as already real in your now.
