Inner Beasts, Inner Kingdom
Daniel 7:4-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 7 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Daniel 7:4-6 presents three emblematic beasts—lion with wings, bear, and leopard—symbolizing rising powers within human consciousness; their wings and strength are transfigured as they are brought to stand as a man with a renewed heart.
Neville's Inner Vision
These beasts are not out there in history; they are states of your own consciousness in movement. The lion with eagle wings is your dynamic energy—swift, bold, and capable of lifting you toward lofty heights. When the wings plucked, you are not punished but reminded that true strength is grounded in a stable awareness, and you are raised from the earth only to stand as a man with a heart that perceives with discernment. The bear, raised on one side, with three ribs in its mouth, speaks of appetites, loyalties, and memories gnawing at you, intent on devouring what you call life. Listen to these ribs and let the I AM speak through them, reorienting desire toward harmony rather than compulsion. The leopard, with four wings and four heads, denotes rapid, multifaceted expression—plans, thoughts, ambitions. Yet dominion is granted to the inner king who, as you awaken, unifies multiplicity into settled consciousness. When you attend to the kingdom within, the outward prophecies yield to the law of imagination and you realize power is your awareness, not your circumstance.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already the upright man with a sovereign heart. Feel the I AM within you and revise the three energies by affirming 'I am the authority of my own consciousness,' visualizing the wings clipped, ribs settled, and the leopard bowing to inner unity.
