Biblical Context
Daniel 7:20 describes ten horns, and a later horn with eyes and a mouth that speaks great things, rising above its fellows and causing three to fall. This is a symbolic drama of inner states rather than literal kingdoms.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the beasts and horns are states of consciousness; the 'ten horns' are ten tendencies of mind, arising in the field of awareness. The little horn, with eyes and a mouth, is the ruling thought—the ego that boasts, brands, and speaks very great things. Its look is stout because it clings to the illusion of power, yet its strength is borrowed from the belief that you are separate from the I AM. In Neville's sense, prophecy is your inner drama: the outer kingdoms are inner dispositions shifting as you inhabit a new state. When you refuse to identify with the boastful horn and instead assume the I AM as king, the three horns that fell fall away because those beliefs crumble in the light of awareness. The kingdom of God is not a future event but the present state of consciousness you steadily inhabit. The inner ruler is your attentiveness, your awareness, which quiets the loud claims of the ego and settles the scene into peace. In this light, the verse invites you to claim sovereignty within and observe outward events align under your inner king.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, breathe, and designate the boastful horn as a thought-state; then, in present tense, declare 'I AM the ruler here.' Feel the kingly power of the I AM filling the scene and watching the horn bow and dissolve.
