Inner Armies Rise Within
Daniel 11:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It portrays a rise within your mind: thoughts and feelings gathering into a great force. A decisive image arrives, sweeps through the old pattern, and returns you to your fortress.
Neville's Inner Vision
Daniel speaks in the language of outward warfare, but the true battle is internal. The 'sons' are stirred-up aspects of your consciousness—desires, fears, memories—rising into awareness. The 'multitude of great forces' are the interacting images and emotions you have allowed to mobilize in a moment. When 'one shall certainly come' and overflow, that is your decisive state of consciousness asserting itself with such clarity that it breaches the old picture and passes through its defenses. It then returns to the fortress, meaning the old self-image clings briefly, yet the fortress bears the mark of the new state. All outer events are reflections of inner movements. To alter your world, you must inhabit the new state in imagination and persist there until the inner movement reorganizes your surroundings.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Assume the end state as already real in your inner vision; feel the wish fulfilled and picture the inner army aligning to support your fortress. Stay with the scene until the outer world echoes the shift.
