Inner Gift of Wisdom
Daniel 1:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Daniel 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God granted these four youths knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom, and Daniel understood all visions and dreams.
Neville's Inner Vision
To Daniel 1:17 we read God's gift as a present condition of consciousness, not a private boast of history. If you dwell in the I AM, you are the one receiving knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; Daniel's grasp of visions and dreams becomes your capacity for clear inner images. The outer 'education' fades in importance beside the inner gift, which is granted to your awareness. When you assume you already possess wisdom and discernment, the mind settles, doors open, and answers come as if revealed by grace. Your dreams gain direction because you refuse to fear the unknown and instead trust the inner movement of God within. Practice makes this real: imagine yourself already endowed with understanding, and feel the reality of it in your chest, in your breath, in your decisions. Day by day, let the I AM revise your sense of self into one who receives revelation and wise action.
Practice This Now
Assume you already possess wisdom; revise your self-image to 'I am wise and discerning,' and feel it real now. Then fall asleep with that feeling and note any inward visions.
