Read Colossians 2 in context

Scripture Focus

1For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
Colossians 2:1-2

Biblical Context

Paul expresses his concern for believers and longs that their hearts be comforted, united in love, and come to a full assurance of understanding of the mystery of God.

Neville's Inner Vision

Paul's conflict is not a quarrel in space but a vivid manifestation of the mind standing at the threshold of unity. To perceive it as Neville would read: the heart comforts itself when you stop seeking proof outside and decide that you are already united in the God-state within. 'Knit together in love' is the inner alignment of your I AM with all beings—an earth-shaking certainty that there is no separation in true understanding. The 'riches of the full assurance of understanding' come as you refuse to doubt the inner witness and rest in the knowing that the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ, is the same inner reality, the one I AM within you. The 'mystery' is simply your awareness revealing that all are one in the divine pattern; the more you dwell there, the more your relationships feel secure and the more discernment flourishes. This is not theology to be argued, but a state to be lived, imagined, felt, and re-decided until your outward world mirrors the inner unity.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are already comforted; feel your heart knit together in love and rest in the assurance of understanding that the mystery of God is within you.
