When you hear that someone declared your love to you, you are being told that your inner states of love already exist and are recognized by consciousness itself. The report is a reminder that the heat of affection you seek already resides in the center of your being and shines through every relationship as unity, not separation. In Neville’s terms, faith is trust in the reality of your own inward state, and love is the state you practice until it fills your entire scene. Begin with the assumption that you are loved by God and by neighbor, and let that assumption revise every fear or doubt about others. As you dwell in this I AM-love, your outer events reflect a community drawn together by that same grace.
