Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Amos 3:1-2 speaks of a word spoken against Israel, singling them out for accountability because they are known by God, and that punishment follows their iniquities.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of this as a statement about your inner state, not a historical verdict. ‘You only have I known of all the families of the earth’ is the assurance that the I AM within you recognizes you as unique, covenant-child. The word of judgment then arises not from some distant God, but as the natural consequence of an inner belief that separates you from your true identity. When you feel condemned, you are simply living out a lesser assumption—one that you can revise by turning your awareness back to the fact that you are known, cherished, and aligned with the living presence within. The so‑called 'iniquities' are habits of thought and feeling that you may release by a deliberate act of imagining becoming aware of yourself as the I AM, the one God knows intimately. The correction is not punitive but educative: it invites you to rise to a higher state of consciousness, where your life reflects obedience to the covenant you already carry in awareness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and affirm, 'I am the I AM, known and beloved by God.' Then revise with feeling: 'From this moment I align with the covenant of my true self; I forgive past mis-takes and rest in the harmony of inner law.'
