Inner Joy in Action
Acts 8:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Joy floods the city as the gospel takes hold among its people.
Neville's Inner Vision
Joy in that city is not a memory of what happened, but the sign of an inner state fully known and accepted. In Neville's psychology, the city is a state of consciousness you have quietly assumed; the inhabitants are your thoughts moving in harmony with that assumption. When you dwell in the feeling of that great joy, you are already living it, and acts of praise, unity, and peace follow as natural symptoms. The outward city becomes a mirror of your inner agreement: if you imagine a joyful commonwealth, it begins to express as conversations, decisions, and shared light. The key is a simple practice: assume the feeling of the fulfilled city now, revise any contrary weather with a stronger sense of happiness, and feel it real until it saturates your sense of “now.” Your I AM, the awareness you are, creates rhythm; allow it to lead you into a daily life that reflects the inner joy you have chosen. The moment you accept and feel it, the outside witnesses the inner joy.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine the city bathed in radiant joy; feel that warmth in your chest and declare, 'I am the joy I seek.' Repeat for five minutes.
