Heartfelt Belief Realization

Acts 8:37 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Acts 8 in context

Scripture Focus

37And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Acts 8:37

Biblical Context

Philip tells the seeker that belief must come from the heart, and the man responds by declaring his belief that Jesus is the Son of God.

Neville's Inner Vision

Belief is a state of consciousness. To say you believe with all your heart is to awaken the inner alignment where your I AM accepts a truth as real now. The Ethiopian's answer is the inner assent that your true self is Christ within. In Neville’s terms you are not persuading a future event; you are inviting your awareness to recognize a present fact. When you hold that conviction with the entire being, you revive the inner pattern of Christ identity in you. The outer act of baptism or profession mirrors the inner cleansing of mind and life. Practice arises when you grant full, unreserved assent and let the feeling of the wish fulfilled saturate your body and life.

Practice This Now

Assume the state now by saying I believe with all my heart and feel the I AM within, as the truth of your being. Keep that feeling until conviction radiates through you.
