Water of Belief and Joy
Acts 8:36-39 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
The eunuch asks to be baptized after declaring belief in Jesus; Philip baptizes him and the Spirit removes Philip; the man goes on his way rejoicing.
Neville's Inner Vision
Consider the eunuch’s question as your inner readiness. The water he points to is not a pond in Jerusalem but the fluid state of your own consciousness where belief can be poured in. When Philip says, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest, the invitation is to a present conviction, not a memory. The confession that Jesus Christ is the Son of God is the recognition that the I AM within you is divine, and baptism is a renewing of your sense of self into that truth. The Spirit of the Lord catching away Philip represents a shift of attention—the old teacher disappears as your awareness rises to itself. The eunuch goes on his way rejoicing because his consciousness has been arrested by a new identity and feels its reality. The miracle is interior, a movement of belief becoming fact in your world, through the power of imagination. Feel it real now: you are invited to translate this scene into your daily life—trust what your I AM already knows, and let that belief purify and elevate your entire experience.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and step into the water of inner conviction; affirm 'I believe with all my heart' and declare 'I am the Son of God' within. Feel the lift of Spirit, and go on your way rejoicing in your renewed self.
