Inner Gospel in Acts 8
Acts 8:34-35 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Philip explains the Scripture to the Ethiopian, revealing that the prophet speaks of Jesus, not himself. The eunuch’s question becomes a mirror for our own seeking, and the proclamation marks the moment faith is stirred.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture this as your inner scene. The eunuch asks, Who is the prophet speaking about—the prophet's voice or another man? In truth, the speaker is the I AM within you—the steadfast consciousness that witnesses and creates. Philip, not as a man of history but as your higher self, opens the mouth of your awareness and begins at the same scripture you now hold in your heart, and he preaches Jesus—the living Word as your own awareness. When you hear that message, you awaken to a Christ-consciousness that has always been there, already redeeming, guiding, and validating your life. The transition here is not a change of outer circumstance but a shift in your inner state: you move from doubt to trust as you align with the truth that you are the one who speaks and listens within. Imagination becomes the instrument by which you construct this reality: you hear the gospel inside, feel it as real, and observe external life beginning to reflect your inner claim of wholeness.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and assume you already know who the speaker is—your I AM. In your mind, hear the inner Philip reading the same scriptures and preaching Jesus to you; feel it real now.
