Read Acts 7 in context

Scripture Focus

9And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
10And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
Acts 7:9-10

Biblical Context

The patriarchs acted from envy and sold Joseph, but God remained with him, delivering him and elevating him in Egypt.

Neville's Inner Vision

Joseph’s ascent is not about geography but a shift in your inner weather. 'God was with him' is the banner you must claim: the I AM is present in every trial, every strange land of circumstance. The envy of the patriarchs is the symbol of fear in your mind trying to define your life; being sold into Egypt is the inward relocation of attention to a scene that looks hostile. Yet a deeper law operates: the divine presence does not abandon you; it arranges help and grants favor and wisdom, so you rise in the right time in the right place. When Pharaoh trusts Joseph, it is your inner authority—your ability to discern and govern your life—being realized. You become governor over your house by recognizing the I AM already rules there. Outer events mirror your inner decision only as you consciously hold the truth that God is with you now, that you are led by wisdom, and that every seeming setback is a doorway to greater kingdom power within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, repeat, 'I am with God; the I AM governs my house.' Feel the inner governor's power and let the vision of ruling your life become real.
