From Complaint to Inner Order
Acts 6:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Acts 6:1-2 shows growth bringing friction: widows are neglected, the disciples resist abandoning the Word, and they appoint others to handle daily duties so the spiritual work continues.
Neville's Inner Vision
Act 6:1-2 speaks of your inner kingdom growing and a murmuring between two currents of consciousness: the Grecians and Hebrews, the neglected widows representing neglected aspects of the self. The twelve, the higher self, refuse to sacrifice the Word of God—the life-giving I AM awareness—on the altar of external hustling. They propose a revision: entrust daily care to others so the inner Word can be spoken freely. In Neville's terms, this is you recognizing that your wandering attention can be redirected without denying the reality of your needs. The key is not to chase service for service's sake but to correct your inner alignment: the outer acts are only effects of an inner assumption. When you cultivate the state that serves both Word and daily life, you appoint the inner authorities (the adapted faculties) to handle the outer duties, freeing the I AM to preside. By this revision, you prevent the neglect of the spiritual in favor of the outward, and you cultivate unity where many voices become one.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the state of awareness that governs both word and works; imagine appointing inner authorities to handle daily tasks while you remain centered in I AM.
