Biblical Context
Paul speaks of standing judged for the hope of God's promise to the fathers, a coming fulfillment the tribes eagerly await; he argues the possibility of resurrection is not incredible. The passage frames faith as an inner, living expectancy rather than a distant event.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the 'hope' Paul names is not a future rumor but a state of consciousness you may embody now. The promise to the fathers represents the I AM’s steadfast expectation of life renewed within you. The twelve tribes' constant service mirrors the disciplined attention of your mind turned toward this truth, day and night. External judgments or skeptics become distractions; the real inquiry is whether you believe in your own capacity to rise from a dead state of mind. If you can imagine a belief or habit resurrected by your awareness, you have enacted the archetypal resurrection. The question 'Why should it be thought incredible that God should raise the dead?' becomes a personal affirmation: God raises the living I AM whenever you are fully conscious of it. Your present awareness is the covenant fulfilled within you, here and now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, place your hand on your chest, and declare mentally 'I AM the resurrection and the life.' Then revise any lingering doubt by feeling life return to every part of you for five minutes.
