Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul experiences a heavenly light and a commanding voice, is appointed as a minister and witness, and is led from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner theater of your mind, the midday light is the awakening of your I AM. The road is your present state of consciousness; Saul represents old beliefs clinging to separation. The voice, 'I am Jesus,' is the inner recognition that the Christ within is your true self, not an external figure. 'Rise, and stand upon thy feet' invites you to assume responsibility for your transformation and to declare your new witness. This encounter announces a personal commission: you are now called to witness both what you have perceived and what will unfold in you as you deepen faith. The passage speaks of delivering you from the people and from the Gentiles not as external rescue but as the shedding of attachments and fears. Open eyes, turn from darkness to light, and abandon the power of guilt to the empowering presence of God—your own consciousness. Forgiveness and an inheritance await those sanctified by the faith that is in the I AM within you.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine a light from heaven enveloping you and your companions; affirm, 'I am the I AM, the Christ within,' and feel the commissioning to witness a life turned toward light.
