Neville's Inner Vision
From the perspective of my inner vision, Acts 20:4-6 is a map of consciousness. Sopater, Aristarchus, Secundus, Gaius, Timotheus, Tychicus, and Trophimus are the crew of faculties that accompany my central idea into Asia—the arena of daily action. The ones going before tarry for us at Troas, a sign that my future energies prepare the way while I remain in receptive stillness. We sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, shedding the old yeast of doubt and belief that limit; with a clean mental vessel, I approach the next phase in five days and dwell there seven days, a sacred week of unity. This seven-day abode is the inner fellowship that aligns motive with motion, thought with feeling, and will with action. When I imagine these companions in one harmonious journey, I feel the power of a mission that is not separate from my inner self but its very expression: a steady, persevering community of consciousness moving toward a single purpose.
