Awakening Through Inner Baptism
Acts 2:37-41 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
People felt conviction, asked what to do, and were told to repent, be baptized for forgiveness, and receive the Holy Spirit; the promise is for all God calls.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the crowd does not get a future ritual; they awaken to a new state of consciousness. The prick in their hearts becomes a sudden awareness that they are one with the I AM, not merely identified with old beliefs. When they ask, 'what shall we do?' they are invited to revise their self-image: repent means turning from the old story and aligning with Christ-consciousness within. Baptism appears not as a mere ceremony but as immersion into the Name—recognizing that your life is defined by the divine presence you claim. Remission of sins is the release from guilt and separation, replaced by the felt reality of unity with God. The gift of the Holy Spirit is the inner assurance, the steady awareness that accompanies this new identity. The promise is for you, your children, and all whom God calls, here and now as a present possibility. Save yourselves from this untoward generation means withdraw from the old mind and dwell in the new creation within. Those who gladly receive the word become the first to awaken many inner changes, which show up as outward life.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and declare I AM the Christ within me now. Revise your self-concept to reflect that truth and feel the Holy Spirit as a present, peace-filled certainty.
