Scripture Focus

47For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Acts 13:47-48

Biblical Context

The passage states that the apostles are to be a light to the Gentiles, bringing salvation to all ends of the earth; when the message is heard, the Gentiles respond with joy, and those destined for eternal life believe.

Neville's Inner Vision

Stated in the posture of consciousness, the command says: you are the light by which salvation travels to the ends of your world. The Gentiles’ glad reception mirrors your own when you discover that the word of truth is already within you, and belief is not earned but recognized. 'Ordained to eternal life' is not a decree of fate but an inner tendency—an established state you can assume. When you persist in the I AM with the feeling that you are already the life you seek, belief follows as daylight follows dawn. The outward crowd becomes a reflection of your inner consensus; your awareness sanctifies the ordinary and makes possible the extraordinary through imagination. So practice: enter the state of being the light, imagine the ends of the earth responding, feel the gladness as real, and let that faith rise from within as your natural condition.

Practice This Now

Assume the state: 'I am the light by which salvation goes forth to the ends of the earth.' Close your eyes, feel the warm glow within, and let the feeling of being already saved and alive fill your chest; repeat until belief arises.
