Inner Vision: Thessalonians 2:8-10
2 Thessalonians 2:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Thessalonians 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Plainly, the text speaks of a Wicked being revealed and destroyed. It points to a spiritual law: those who do not love the truth perish.
Neville's Inner Vision
Behold the Wicked as not a person but a state of consciousness within you—doubt, fear, the habit of deception. The Lord consumes with the spirit of his mouth: when you quietly name the false image with the breath of awareness, it dissolves. The brightness of his coming is the luminosity of your own I AM, shining through every thought that clings to separation. The coming after the working of Satan with power and signs and lying wonders are the mind’s familiar tricks—powerful appearances, counterfeit experiences—that arise when you forget who you are. Deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish becomes a refusal to love truth within; you perish in your own dream when you deny your true identity. Yet you can invert this: assert the truth now, declare I AM, and let that inner light wash away the counterfeit. Your salvation is the recognition that the truth you seek is already present as awareness, not something to be earned from without. When you dwell there, you awaken from the deception and witness the apparent enemies dissolve into peace.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume I AM as the living reality of you; revise any image of conflict by softly affirming I AM truth now and feel that truth as real in your chest. Let the inner light spread until the outer sense of struggle fades.
