Inner Withholding Dissolved
2 Thessalonians 2:5-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Thessalonians 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage speaks of a current withholding in consciousness, a coming revelation in its appointed time, and a mysterious force of iniquity already at work, restrained by a deeper order.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, in this telling, your inner world is Paul, and the 'withholding' is not external law but the state of your own attention. The 'mystery of iniquity' is the stubborn propensity to fear separation from God in the mind; it has always been active in the dream of you, yet it is not a person but a thought-form that loses power the moment you stop feeding it. The one who 'now letteth'—the perceived restraint within you—is not a tyrant but a belief you hold about yourself. When you insist on your true I AM, that constraint loosens, and the image of the 'man of sin' arises only as an image in an unfed dream. The timing is not a calendar but the ripening of your inner state. As you choose to dwell in awareness, you remove the obstacle by turning away from lack and fear and affirming unity with the Source. Your consciousness, not external events, determines what appears and when; the revelation you seek is already present as you realize I AM.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, 'I AM the I AM that withholds nothing.' Feel the sense of freedom expanding until the old limitation dissolves; let the withholding drop away and dwell in the awareness that revelation is now.
