Inner Election to Salvation
2 Thessalonians 2:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Thessalonians 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul thanks God for the Thessalonians, acknowledging that they are beloved and chosen for salvation. The path to that salvation unfolds through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your beloved Thessalonians are not outsiders but mirrors of your own consciousness. When Paul thanks God for you, he declares that your chosen ness begins in the I AM, in an awareness that remembers itself as the Lord’s. From the beginning means the moment you grant your-seeing that you are already chosen, already aligned with salvation. The sanctification of the Spirit is not distant procedure but the daily immersion of attention in the Spirit—the breath-by-breath cleansing of old doubts by the Power that never leaves your side. Belief of the truth is the firm, living conviction that what you know in your heart about your true nature is the truth reality, not a distant doctrine. In this reading, salvation is a present state of consciousness, not a future event, and election is not a fate imposed from without, but an inner recognition that you are loved, protected, and guided by the indwelling I AM. Allow gratitude to swell as your first act of faith, then revise any sense of lack into the certainty of your already-secured salvation.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume you are already chosen for salvation and feel the gratitude as a present fact. If doubt arises, revise it by stating the truth in your own heart until it feels real.
