2 Samuel 9:7

Biblical Context

David promises kindness and restoration to Mephibosheth because of Jonathan, inviting him to eat at the king’s table continually.

Neville's Inner Vision

Mephibosheth in this reading is the image of your present sense of self that has known poverty and fear. David is the I AM within you, speaking not to a man but to your awareness: Fear not, for I will surely show kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake. The land of Saul you think you lost is merely a belief that abundance was outside you; through this higher self, you are restored to your rightful estate, and you are invited to the king's table continually—a symbol of intimate inclusion with your own divine nature. The vow to restore is the affirmation that covenant loyalty—the loyalty to your higher purpose and to your best dreams—remains unbroken. Mercy flows as a law of consciousness: when you acknowledge the oneness, you consume the bread of life and live at ease in the kingdom. Practice this by assuming you are already seated at the king's table, nourished, and cared for because of your connection to the inner king. As you persist, the outer becomes a visible expression of this inner concede.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already seated at the king's table; feel the nourishment and sense of belonging. Repeat: I am loved, cared for, and abundantly provided for by the I AM.
