Inner Covenant of Just Leadership
2 Samuel 23:1-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
David's last words affirm that the Spirit spoke by him and that the ruler of men must be just in reverence to God; a light of morning follows, with an enduring covenant of salvation.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let us hear David not as a distant king but as the voice of your own I AM delivering truth through your tongue. The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me—so say, in imagination, 'The Spirit of God speaks through my voice when I am fully awake.' The Rock of Israel spoke to me—notice the inner rock, the unshakable foundation of awareness that dictates conduct. When he says, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God, Neville-style means your inner ruler operates with justice, governed by reverence to life. This is not law outside you, but alignment of your own desire with divine order. And he shall be as the light of the morning... a morning without clouds—an inner sunrise of clarity after emotional rain. The covenant that is everlasting is the inner agreement between your imagination and your awakened state; even if your outward house seems out of accord, the covenant remains certain in your inner life, a salvation you can feel here and now. The sons of Belial are your thorny false beliefs—touch them not; instead fence them with iron by assuming you control the inward conditions. The fiery end is the old self burned away in the heat of realization.
Practice This Now
Assume the role of your inner ruler now. Silently say, 'I am the just ruler of my inner world, governed by reverence to life,' and feel the morning light rise within as you breathe.
