Chariots of the Mind
2 Samuel 15:1 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
In 2 Samuel 15:1, Absalom prepares chariots, horses, and fifty runners, signaling an inner ambition to seize authority. The scene outwardly mirrors a mind already imagining itself as king.
Neville's Inner Vision
The chariots and fifty men are not merely a family intrigue but a symbol of the inner machinery by which a mind fashions power. Each chariot is a pattern of thought, each horse a motive, and each runner a supporting belief, all moving under the decision that delivers the sense of sovereignty. Neville's psychology would say this is consciousness at work: the I AM within is sensing itself as sole ruler, projecting outward forms to match an inner conviction. The true kingdom, however, is within; it is not earned by competition but recognized as the throne of God, the I AM that already rules. When you feel the urge to marshal people, resources, or images to secure status, treat it as a signal to revise: you are already the ruler of this inner landscape, and its authority flows from recognizing God as your constant awareness. Rest in that inward sovereignty, and outward displays will align with the realized state rather than create it.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and enter a private throne room within. State, 'I AM the ruler of this mind,' and feel the weight of a crown of awareness settling upon you as you affirm inner authority here and now.
