Inner Kingdom Reckoning
2 Samuel 12:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Samuel 12 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Secret wrongdoing is not hidden from the I AM; it surfaces as public judgment, turning private guilt into outward consequence until the inner state is changed. The message invites inner revision, not punishment, by choosing a new state of consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, the LORD in this reading is your own I AM, your awareness looking at a state. The evil that arises from thy house is not a punishment but the inevitable movement of your inner state when you refuse to own what you have created in imagination. The king's wives and neighbor are not external persons but pictures of outer conditions reflecting your inner disposition. When you acted secretly in your mind, you set in motion a pattern that must reveal itself ‘before all Israel’—that is, in your world, until you take possession of your state. The remedy is to accept complete responsibility and to reverse the scene by assuming a different feeling: you are the ruler, just, integrated, and in order with all life. In imagination, stand in the throne-room of your consciousness and declare the truth that your I AM is the source of all possession, that secrecy yields to honest interior alignment, and that in that alignment the outward world rearranges to reflect the new state of kingship.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and revise the scene—see yourself as the sovereign of your domain, untouched by hidden acts. Feel the I AM as your constant awareness and dwell in the feeling that the kingdom is already restored.
