Read 2 Peter 3 in context

Scripture Focus

17Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
2 Peter 3:17-18

Biblical Context

Peter warns believers to beware of wavering and being led away by error. He then exhorts them to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Christ.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, the verse speaks to a state of consciousness, not a distant doctrine. 'Beware' is a call to guard the consistency of your I AM—the unshakable watcher within—from shifting images that pretend to be reality. The phrase 'fall from your own steadfastness' is your momentary lapse into identifying with appearances rather than with the unchanging awareness you truly are. To 'grow in grace' is to deepen the living sense of grace as your natural rhythm, the flow of loving attention that blesses every thought, choice, and perception. To grow 'in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ' is to widen the awareness that the Christ within is the perceiver and the power behind all you experience; as you dwell there, knowing him as your inner ruler, your attention becomes wiser, more discerning, and more loving. Glory to him now and forever is the natural result of identifying with this inner reality. When you hold this state, the outer world begins to reflect the inner harmony—steadfast, graceful, and true.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit in quiet; declare 'I am steadfast in grace, and I am growing in the knowledge of Christ within me.' Then feel the reality of that state as if it already exists in this moment.
