Dissolving Time, Dwelling Peace
2 Peter 3:11-14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Peter 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Seeing then that all things shall be dissolved, the verse invites you to live in holy conduct and godliness. It declares we look for a new heavens and a new earth where righteousness dwells, and to be diligent in peace and blamelessness.
Neville's Inner Vision
All dissolution is a summons to awaken within. You are not waiting for an external catastrophe; you are the state of consciousness that imagines form. When you hold that time and the old world pass away, you reveal the I AM that consumes the scene and reconstructs it as you envision. The day of God comes as you refuse to identify with lack, fear, or spots of guilt. The 'new heavens and new earth' appear not as outer events, but as the atmosphere your mind yields: a life of righteousness, peace, and steady holiness. The heavens dissolving by fire is the heat of imagination burning away false images; the elements melt when your feelings align with the truth of being. Therefore, be diligent to be found in peace, for peace is the sign you are awake to your true nature. Your task is to assume you already dwell in that state, feel it real, and let that feeling color every present moment.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, repeat 'I am the I AM, the new heavens and the new earth now; I dwell in peace, without spot, blameless.' Feel the state as real in your chest and let that assumed condition color your day.
