Abundance Through Christ Knowledge

2 Peter 1:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Peter 1 in context

Scripture Focus

8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:8

Biblical Context

If these inner qualities exist in you and abound, you will not be barren or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Neville's Inner Vision

Peter speaks of a state of consciousness rather than a distant rule. The 'things' are inner dispositions—faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, love—that, when nourished, abound within you. If your inner atmosphere overflows with them, you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of Christ, for knowledge here is intimate recognition of the Christ within. The I AM, your true Self, awakens to itself through these movements; imagination becomes your instrument, and what you dwell in becomes your world. When you assume you already possess these qualities, you align your inner state with the divine pattern, and the fruit appears as external evidence: discernment, holiness, trust, and vibrant knowing. The barren ground becomes fruitful because you have watered it with consistent inner belief. You are not chasing knowledge; you are becoming it by becoming the state of it. Feel it as real, and your life will blossom with an ever-growing awareness of Christ's indwelling presence.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you already possess these qualities; feel the abundance as your present state, not a future goal. Repeat: 'I am the awareness of Christ within me, and I know Him now.'
