Inner Light of Prophecy
2 Peter 1:19-21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Prophecy in 2 Peter 1:19-21 is presented as a reliable, divinely inspired guide, like a light in darkness that leads the heart toward dawn. It also declares that prophecy is not of private interpretation, but moved by the Holy Spirit.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the 'more sure word of prophecy' is not an external oracle but the fixed, inner state of your consciousness. The light that shines in a dark place is the imagination you use to behold yourself as you wish to be. When Peter speaks of the day-dawn and the day-star arising in your heart, he describes the moment your awareness passes from lack to the I AM presence within you. Prophecy, in this view, is the law of your own consciousness: what you repeatedly affirm in your inner world becomes your outer experience. No prophecy comes from private interpretation or human will; it comes through you when moved by the Holy Ghost—the sacred energy of God within, the I AM that you are. Therefore you need not seek elsewhere for truth. You are the interpreter and the revealed word. Stand in that light, revise any counter-claim as misunderstanding, and dwell in the conviction that the day-star already shines in your heart, awaiting only your acknowledgment.
Practice This Now
Practice: close your eyes and assume you are already living by this inner light. I AM the day-star rising in my heart; feel the warmth expand, and let that realization color your next moment.
